We are writing to send you good wishes for Christmas and good health, happiness, and a return to some normality in 2021.
2020 is most definitely a year that we will never forget! This weekend’s announcements must feel like a final blow in a long, hard fight for those living in, or hoping to visit, tier 4 areas. If you have been affected, our thoughts are with you and we hope the optimism surrounding the vaccine is enough to carry you through to 2021.
We want to thank you for your loyal support throughout this year. You have been patient, adaptable, complimentary and above all trusting, and we are truly grateful. We take the responsibility of looking after your financial planning very seriously. We have worked hard this year to keep the office open and everyone working effectively, and we have reached the end of the year having delivered all the scheduled reviews and having helped more new clients than ever before.
In the background we have improved our technology and systems, introduced our online portal and increased our investment options. We have also been working on our branding and a new website. Our two apprentices have completed their courses and we already know that one passed with a distinction, and the other awaits his result. There were numerous exams taken by our trainees and despite the difficulties in the education sector, we finish the year with a more qualified team.
Like so many of our clients, most of our staff have not had a proper holiday this year and some have had to juggle working at home with children and supporting elderly relatives and yet they have delivered what is expected of them, professionally and efficiently. I am proud to be at the head of such an impressive and dedicated team. I am especially proud of the effort that we have all put in to raising desperately needed funds for charity this year. The opportunity to fund raise in the summer never appeared so we decided to use the longest night as a mark of turning the corner. This weekend we all committed to join in on sleeping out, walking through the night, and cooking for the homeless. The walking team walked cross country from Alton to the edge of Guildford and back, starting at 5pm and returning at 8am. It was a long and gruelling challenge through thick mud, rain and wind. Those sleeping out managed until dusk in their gardens under cardboard and tarpaulin. The cooking team have created the most amazing Christmas dinner and treats for the homeless in Guildford who live in a temporary shelter, No. 5 Hub, and we also purchased them each gifts and have decorated their temporary home. Their gratitude during such bleak times has made it very worthwhile and the donations are shared with Alzheimer’s Society.
Thank you so much if you have already donated. If you haven’t, you can do so here https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/HeadleyFinancial We’d love to get to £5,000.
We will be back on January 4th raring to go and have plenty more development plans for 2021.
Wishing you a peaceful and safe festive period from all of us,
Jane, Phil, Stuart, Jonny, Amy, Angie, Rob, Donna, Janet, Chris, Rebecca and James
